• I’m used to 30-minute teaching sessions in the newsroom — I have yet to have a class last a whole hour and 15 minutes.
• Overall, girls are more likely to turn in assignments than boys. (And by that I mean on time, because I don’t accept late work. I’m mean.)
• There seems to be a lot of babysitting. (That makes me sigh a lot.)
My bestest bird friend is celebrating his 111th birthday this week. There was a big shindig last night, complete with beer and Filipino food and cupcakes (All so very delicious!) and Twitter friends.
In other news, I need a nap.

This was my favorite coloring book. Such a favorite that I’d photocopy (or more often trace) the pages so I could color them more than once, or turn ‘em into craft projects. (Cotton often was part of Santa’s fur-trimmed costume.)
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” series is excellent for moving/packing. (“Angel” was good for painting. “Veronica Mars” was great when I was scanning hundreds of old photos.)
